NamoBuddha

Namo Buddha or Takmo Lüjin, located at kavre district, is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site of Nepal. It is measured to be around 40 km from Kathmandu valley. Located on the slightly elevated land, it is a pleasant and out-of-the way place. It is a quiet and peace place and can be a good destination for peace lovers. Its environment is clean and healthy, no pollution, and the natural air is so fresh and cool. In the morning the place is brightened up by the beautiful sunrise and a beautiful range of snowed Himalayas and in the evening with the wonderful view of the sunset.

From Buddhist point of view it is one of the most important religious sites in Nepal. There are three major Buddhist pilgrimage sites: Boudha stupa, Syambhunath stupa and Namo Buddha. Planning on a hike through Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha could be an amazing journey. Similarly riders prefer Namo Buddha for a peaceful ride through the jungles to the uphill. Namo Buddha contains a small village uphill of Buddhists. Walking up the hill from the stupa, one can find a place where the scene of buddha giving his body to the tigress is engraved in the stone.

Public transportation is available for Namo Buddha from Ratnapark Bus park kathmandu or we can get a bus to Kavre Bhanjyang and walk the remaining 9 kms (2 hours) to the stupa. We can also trek from banepa through Panauti and Sangkhu. Plan it out of some day and enjoy beauty of Nepal.
