Boudhanath Stupa
Hello, we all might be planning to go to some adventurous place with friends, families or with your loved ones this weekend. Today i am writing about a beautiful place with many religious beliefs. Boudhanath, a stupa located in the center of valley, is a piece of attraction towards internal as well as external tourists. It is the largest stupa in the world occupying an area of 7 km. Located at 5 km northeast of central kathmandu, Boudhanath represents the flourishing Tibetan Buddhist community and Culture. It is believed that this stupa was built in the 14th century.
We can get to the stupa by hiring a taxi from anywhere in the valley or by a public minibus you get from ratnapark. The stupa is a peace place with many priests and mantras Om Mani Padme Hum from the people meditating . The main entrance to the upper platform to the stupa is on the north side. Surrounding Boudhanath Stupa are streets and narrow alleys lined with colorful homes, Tibetean Buddhist monastries and street vendors. During the festival of Losar (Tibetean New Year) in February or March, Boudhanath holds the largest celebration in Nepal.
Take time out of your busy schedule and trust me Boudhanath Stupa won't disappoint you but will give you a wonderful memory to share.
